Brett and Woods
The good guitarist's night off
Brett & Woods are a musical duo that have been playing together on and off for 12 years. It is made up of Stuart Brett and Ricky Woods. They are both singer song writers with a unique sound that complements the other. Stuart and Ricky both started to play the guitar in their teens and since then have mastered a number of different instruments including bass guitar, drums and the keyboard but it’s the guitar that they keep coming back to. Since Stuart and Ricky got together in 1996 there have been many different projects they have been a part of but they have always enjoyed playing music together. The lads started off their live career in lowestoft at the seagull theatre in various shows, a high point was playing at The Marina theatre twice to a packed house in competitions. They also played at the Brewery.... but that was years ago, plus they used to regularly appear at The 'Trowel & Hammer' in Lowestoft. Recently the guy's began to get back onto the local music scene again, they had a few years away doing proper jobs but decided that music was too important. The guy's met up for a jam and all the old songs sounded fresh. Soon the guy's were confident enough to play live and that is where we are now . 2009 Brings us to the lads next venture a series of charity gigs in March supporting Cystic Fibrosis, we'll let you know how it goes ;) .. it went great.. Brett & Woods have been many different types of acts over the years... broken down to just the acoustic guitars .... or full on Rock with a band or backings.... watch out because it's fun time!!!
